Cody was 18, working in the kitchen at Canadian Brewhouse when all of a sudden his whole arm went numb, it started tingling with pins and needles, and went purple, and when his adrenaline finally wore off the pain hit.
Cody dealt with the pain for a year and a half while doctors were trying to figure out what was going on, until he finally got a surgery on July 2nd, 2024 but it actually made it way worse and that is when he got diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. Thoracic Outlet Syndrome is a chronic nerve pain condition where between your first rib and collar bone, all the nerves and blood vessels get pinched through your arm.
Cody then got the surgery to remove his first rib on his right side, from there he started to feel better, until his condition unfortunately went bilateral to the left side.
Cody took the pain from his condition and created SICK clothing co. on August 6th, 2025.
"Pain into purpose"
He started by creating 9 one of a kind hoodies, and it all grew from there. Cody now has almost 2000 followers on his instagram, and is selling clothes at every market he goes to. Cody's hit 70 markets in total hitting 50 markets this year alone in Moose Jaw, SK, Saskatoon, SK, Regina, SK and other cities in Saskatchewan.
Cody purchased two buses with the plan of turning one of them into a store to travel across Canada in, one of which is currently in the process of being painted for him by some local artists in Moose Jaw, SK.
Cody also sells his clothes in many local businesses in Moose Jaw, and will be opening his own store front in Moose Jaw as well. Cody has also recently started Salvaged by SICK, which is where he takes vintage pre-loved clothing, and sells it along with his own creations.

Cody is an inspiration, being in so much pain, he pushed through and showed that no matter what you're going through you can still succeed. I am so grateful to call him a friend and to be able to photograph so many milestones for Cody through all the new and amazing things he is creating with SICK clothing co.
